KAAZING, THE LEADING WEBSOCKET PLATFORM BRINGS THE TOP GAMING CONFERENCE TO LIFE FOR VIRTUAL ATTENDEES WHO WANT TO FOLLOW IT IN REAL TIME

LOS ANGELES, CA – June 6, 2012 – During this week’s E3 conference taking place in Los Angeles, anyone on the Web will be able to see what is hot. The www.E3Insider.com web site features an interactive show floor "heat map" that identifies where “virtual crowds" are gathering. Made possible by the Kaazing real time Web communication platform, the heat map enables site visitors to immediately follow the hot stories and announcements at the event. Both during and after the event, exhibitors will have access to site analytics that gauge consumer interest in their activities at E3.

E3 is offering this heat map as part of its E3 Insider web site for the second year. This feature, along with a broad array of other capabilities, has been developed by GamePro Custom Solutions. At the heart of the site is a simple yet powerful decision support tool to help virtual ticketholders budget their time on the show floor. The show’s 200+ exhibitors will create a flood of information – product announcements, press releases, videos, trailers, screenshots, artwork, and so on. Much of this torrent will reach the booths on the actual show floor; but, because of the Kaazing WebSocket platform, all of it will hit the virtual booths on E3insider.com in real time, including major announcements that will be made before the expo even opens. The goal for an attendee, physical or virtual, is to be among the first to hear blockbuster news by being in the right place at the right time, and in general, to spend more time on what is hot and less on what is not. On the physical show floor, that meant pinpointing the crowds and catching the buzz. And on the virtual show floor, it will mean exactly the same thing.

According to John Donnelly, Kaazing’s executive vice president of sales, marketing, and business development, the Kaazing WebSocket Platform addressed the project’s requirements by making the experience real-time, universally accessible, instantly scalable, robust, low cost, and easy to develop. “The E3 Insider interactive 'heat map' is a great example of the kinds of applications many of our customers are deploying today – all requiring an immersive, interactive and real-time experience. We are very pleased to be a part of E3 to leverage new and advanced technology to make the Web more accessible.”
